This is a clear example of the game that was created for play on the commute on a mobile device. The most frustrating point of its F2P heritage is the energy meter that drains after every fight, eventually forcing the player to either stop with the gameplay for a while or to pay to replenish this energy. The story is also non-existent, pushing players to just fight against opponents and earn coins that can be used to unlock new protective armors, weapons, and other items inside the game. It's not something you'll be sitting down and playing through the night. This means Shadow Fight 2 is best left for a few quick rounds on your commute. You can either wait for the meter to refill itself or pay real money to refill it. The biggest problem with Shadow Fight 2 is that it has an energy meter which depletes every time you fight. Combine the two buttons with various directions on the stick to create new moves. Shadow Fight 2 has simple controls - just directions plus two buttons - punch and kick. There's a premium currency which you'll need to unlock specific items. You can use these coins to purchase new armor, weapons, and other items in the game. The developers try to string together some semblance of a story but it doesn't matter. Button mashing doesn't work well in Shadow Fight 2.įorget about the story in the game too. You have to watch your enemies carefully and plan out your attacks. Slow combat isn't a bad thing but you have to adjust how you play.
